Chris and I stayed at her parents cabin. We went hiking and kayaking and did puzzles. We also ate pancakes every morning.

So of course I destroyed something. I was testing out how sturdy the new fire ring was, and I broke it. This is me repairing it.
Actually, it's the only picture I have of the view from the cabin. There were loons on the lake too.

Here's the cabin.

I look a little scary, but the photo has a nice view.

Myself and Chris. It was a little chilly up there in them mountains.

Oh yeah. And the car broke down on the way home from the airport. But everything will be fine. Thanks to the AAA Plus membership my parents gave me, all the towing was covered. The garage thinks it's only going to be a couple of hundred bucks to fix it. Which is great, cause it seemed like an expensive problem at the time.

Something's missing...

So occasionally my co-workers and I meet for breakfast. This takes place EARLY because we have be at work by 7. So on the days we go out to breakfast, we meet at the restaurant at 6am. This was one of those days. So I got up at 5:45, put on some pants and went to the Waffle Iron. It took the rest of the crew about 10 minutes to show up. As I was sitting there I kept getting this nagging feeling like I was missing or forgetting something. Then it dawned on me that I'd forgotten to wear a bra. Opps. If it was a field day, I wouldn't have taken the time to retrieve my missing clothing, but today was an OFFICE day.
As far as office attire trends go at the Prescott National Forest, there are the people-who-work-upstairs and the people-who-work-downstairs. The people-who-work-upstairs are mostly female, with a few exceptions, and wear lots of makeup, have what some people call a "hairdo" and wear dresses and uncomfortable shoes. The people-who-work downstairs are about half female and half male and regardless of gender all wear something close to jeans, tshirts, and sensible shoes. BUT, I have yet to see a person obviously not wear underwear. So after breakfast I went home and added a bra to my oh-so-professional work attire of jeans, a tshirt with only one small hole, sandals, and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Glasses found in the woods a while ago

I caved

I took my computer to a place called "The PC Works!" .
Seriously, they have an exclamation point. Hopefully, I can still get those off.
I'm going to bake the tech guys at Prescott College cookies.... for this will be the third time they've helped me pull data off my hard drive when my computer is broken.
I would appreciate any suggestions...
I can't get my computer to boot. It does from the dell startup screen (where you can press f2 or f8 to enter setup) to the windows xp start up screen. then it flashes to a blue error screen.
then it goes to a selection screen where i can choose to start in safe mode, etc. no matter what i choose, it goes to the start up screen, the windows xp start up screen, to the blue screen, to the selection screen.
I changed the boot order and tried booting from a disk. I tried system recovery and i also tried reinstalling xp. both options did nothing but start the startup screen-error screen loop over again. I looked up the error (Stop 0x00000024) on mircrosoft.com and they recommended running chkdsk, and removing the last program i installed.... but i can't get to a command prompt.
The last program I installed was limewire, and I think it may have been what crashed it. Any suggestions for how to uninstall it?

Drag Show

Sooo the Drag Show is tomarrow!!!
Sorry I havent posted in a while, but ive been busy practicing. I told them, "you should definitely not buy until the seller agrees to put a bay window here and replace the carpet with wood flooring."
We go upstairs and there's this amazing view of a lake. I mean, the house is almost in the lake, and there are these beautiful little birds swimming in it. They are smaller that buffleheads and look like songbirds, except they are behaving like dabbling ducks. I get to look up close, because for some strange reason (although it makes perfect sense in my dream) they're now swimming in the living room. They have yellow finch like beaks and jet black, almost iridescent heads with a white "v" above the beak. Their backs are dark and their bellies are light. There's some intricate red and green patterning , but the color changes with the light, so I'm not sure what color they were.

Anyways, somehow I have this really beautiful bird book on Birds of Asia. It is printed on creamy heavy stock paper with gorgeous drawings and hand written descriptions. It identifies the bird as an Asian species of Harrier. Ok, so in "real life" Asia has a ridiculous amount of species ofHarrier hawks, but they're a lot bigger than finches, and they're totally not songbirds.
Anyways I get super excited because its an Asian species and it's here! And there's a flock!
So I run out of the house so I can go call Walt and Carl. And then I wake up. Oh and Zellie was in my dream too. What does it all mean?

Just Tell Me to Shut Up

I thought this picture looked eerily familiar.
Then I realized that there's a photo like this from almost every cookout at kirstin's:
me, alcohol in hand, tellin' it like it is.
SHEESH.
I'll be sure to post more evidence ofthis disturbing trend as I aquire it.

I would like to point out that my white socks are
SUPER HOT.

Licking the Blood of Christ!

I went to church services with my parents. In an effort to inlcude the children in the service, the preacher called the kids up to the front of the auditorium and read them a story called The Legend of the Candy Cane. The illustrations appeared on the powerpoint, so the rest of us could follow along.

This book challenged my secular notions of the origin of this tasty peppermint treat. Whereas I had previously assumed that the candy cane was as shaped like a cane because that way you can hang it on a tree, I found out that if you flip it upside down you get a "J". "J" is for Jesus! But it doesn't stop there. If you flip it right side up you get a shepard's staff. And shepard's staffs are for.....shepards? And shepards were tending their sheep on a coldwintersnightsodeep...............
The symbolism goes much, much deeper. There's the color of the candy cane to consider. To illustrate this aspect of The Legend of the Candy Cane there was a great illustration of Jesus being flogged, because the red on the candy cane is Jesus' blood. Come on kids, lick the Blood of Christ. Did you know that "cannibal" and "Christmas" both start with "C"? And the white on the candy cane is for Jesus dying and making us white as snow, cause we were dirty, dirty sinners beforehand, back when we ate candycanes with abadon that could only be described as pagansecularworldy witchcraft.
But wait, I thought that Easter was about the death and resurrection of Jesus and Christmas was about his birth...................aren't we confusing our religious holidays a bit????
I hear the author has a new book out explaining how the easter egg symbolizes the birth of Jesus!

This book also has s little girl hanging out by herself with a single fortyish man, for days, delivering candycanes.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Trap shootin'

Dear Santa,
Please bring me a shotgun for Christmas. Like, I really wish that creepy grunty guy wasn't sitting right behind me, and I wish he'd stop looking at my ass.....and that woman's fake tan is really orange (why would you get a fake tan in AZ, anyways?), and check out the bunions on that lady's feet... those are really intense, and where do you even buy matching spandex pants and tops in lime green and black?

Back to guns. AZ has very loose gun laws. To buy a gun I don't need a permit. I just need to be over 18. And if I got a pistol I could carry it public, as long as it was visible. And there are no anti-trafficking laws. I can buy as many guns as I want.
Yesirreeee..... Furthermore, if i left my gun loaded and sitting in a kindergarten by mistake, then I'm not liable for anything that happens. There's very little personal liability here, when it comes to guns.

But anyways, i really really want a shotgun. Its just so much damn fun.

Food choice

What i've mostly eaten this week:
sweet and sour chicken
cereal
frozen pizza
quesadilla
coffee (it counts as food if you add rice milk, right?)
soda
chocolate

i have a fridge full of vegetables and free range lamb and humanly treated chicken eggs........

Byespace!

i've had enough of:
"HI MY NAME IS 2CRZY4UANGEL44.
